TANBARK YARD SALE SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 8AM-1PM

The TAN Board invites you to clear out your closets and garages to turn those unwanted items into cash! Tanbark will be having its annual neighborhood yard sale on April 29th. This date was chosen to coincide with other neighborhood yard sales in our immediate area. In order to attract more potential shoppers, we will be advertising the TAN Yard Sale on social media and other outlets!

The yard sale also presents a great opportunity for residents to participate in TAN's fundraising efforts for the TAN Drainage Swale Stormwater Improvement Project, which was undertaken to improve the quality of life, health, and safety as well as maintain property values in our neighborhood. Residents can voluntarily contribute a portion or all funds raised from the yard sale to the neighborhood project.

Don't miss out on all the fun and the opportunity to improve our Tanbark Neighborhood!!

Can't participate in the garage sale but have items you'd like to clear out? Jane Dreidame and Tom Ralston will be happy to help! Just send an email, jdreidame@gmail.com, or give them a call, 859-271-6034, to arrange a drop off/pick up time. All proceeds will be donated to the TAN Drainage Swale Stormwater Improvement Project.

Tanbark Association of Neighbors (TAN)

Welcome to Tanbark's neighborhood blog. Our neighborhood is a welcoming and caring place, located at the intersection of Tates Creek Road and Man O’War Boulevard. We are made up of families, couples, and singles; retirees and those working hard in their chosen fields; there are plenty of kids, cats, and especially dogs (good dogs!). In 2008, the home of Debbie and John Wagner on Tanbark Road received national attention when it won the Today Show's "Most Spirited Home" Halloween Decorating Contest. That festive spirit permeates Tanbark.

In August of each year we have a parade and a picnic, complete with an intergenerational balloon toss, and other events throughout the year include a Progressive Dinner and our Annual Meeting.

We strive to keep our neighborhood beautiful, with seasonal flowers atop the mailboxes, and fresh plantings at its entrance. In a time and a world where everyone is so busy, our neighbors sincerely care about each other, making it not only a neighborhood, but a community.

TANBARK MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of this organization, Tanbark Association of Neighbors (TAN), is to provide charitable, civic, educational and social activities for its members. Additional activities should focus on neighborhood improvements that wil maintain and increase the property values and quality of life for all the homeowners in Tanbark neighborhood.

The mission of the officers and Directors of TAN should be to inform the members of current issues that may impact this neighborhood, to encourage all homeowners who are members of TAN to participate in neighborhood activities, and to work cooperatively as a Board to resolve problems and make governing decisions that will be in the best interest of the entire neighborhood.
