December 1, 2009 Board Minutes

The TAN Board met on Tuesday, Dec. 1st at 6:00 p.m. at President John Irvin’s home.
Present: David Carpenter, Zoya Orlov, Phyllis Peters, Lenora Gusler, John Irvin. Rob Wheeler was absent due to a previously scheduled obligation.
John Irvin called the meeting to order at 6:19.
1ST Order of Business was the neighborhood Christmas decorations. The was discussed and the Board decided to again use Michael of Gaults Lighting like we have used the last two years. They have also stored our decorations. John called him and scheduled getting the decorations up during this time.
New Board Officers for 2009-2010 were decided.
President – John Irvin
Vice President – David Carpenter
Secretary – Phyllis Peters
Treasurer – Lenora Gussler
Communications/Publicity – Zoya Orlov
Treasurer’s Report: Lenora Gussler gave an updated Treasurer’s Report with 2007, 2008, 2009 line items. We have a $6,063.31 cash balance. Lenora will send out 2010 dues requests in January.
Progressive Dinner: A progressive dinner for Tanbark in February or March was the next item of business. A committee was formed with Zoya Orlov, Lenora Gussler, Phyllis Peters and we will check with Vickie Robertson, Marge Leinbach, Marge Wilkins and others to see if they will join us on the committee with their expertise from progressive dinners in the past. Phyllis will contact Katie Whitworth about a date for the finale for the progressive dinner since the finale at their home was a neighborhood favorite.
Detention Basin-David reported that the detention basin behind Shagbark Court has been fixed and neighbors have indicated satisfaction regarding this. This basin has also been inspected.
Lenora informed the Board that the water has been turned off by Green Acres lawn care. This will need to be turned back on in the spring. We will discuss the contract in at the January TAN Board Meeting.
David made a motion to the adjourn the meeting and Lenora seconded and the meeting was adjourned.
